You pay if you split ahead of merger. They split automatically after merger usually. Aact isn't a unit that needs to be separated though. You can buy the warrant separately.
Most despacs are garbage. I am writing about this one since I think this may be the exception. I only own 2 other spacs i care for. The rest are small warrant positions
Thanks for sharing. Really interesting. Couple of questions. 1) "with about $551 million of cash in AACT’s trust account expected at closing". Is this before redemptions ? Or has the vote already done ? 2) Isn't the fact that they are trading close to trust a bad sign ? 3) Do you actually want to own the de-spac company?
Solid. I like this pitch and am surprised the $GSRT crowd hasn't stumbled across the ticker. Commercial validation through the Permian use case looks smarter the more I think about it (strong first partner, low regulation environment, dust everywhere makes safety case for sensors + autonomy more of a layup).
Speaking of Waymo, did you know Kodiak's founder was a core Waymo developer? His first autonomous trucking startup Otto got scuttled within Uber because the other co-founder allegedly stole Waymo trade secrets. Kodiak looks to be a clean break from all that.
Trading at trust is the opportunity. They may be a run up when the final merger date is annouced.
Vote will happen upon merger where you can redeem or not
Ok, gotcha. How much does you broker charge for redeeming? I've heard IBKR are $300 whereas some are free.

Redemptions to my knowledge are free as it is a voting election
ok, thanks for the response. What broker did you use for this position ?
I have multiple brokers but my primary ones are IB, Schwab, and Fidelity

So far there haven't been redemptions. There was an opportunity to do them previously and nobody participated.

Post the article and let's get the party started. I did not know he was a waymo developer. That's a great piece of information.
Hope that helps
